Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby

“A made-in-heaven musical partnership” Folk & Roots

Brian's strong British Folk Rock influence mixes well with Cathryn's Roots, blurring boundaries and showcasing her voice, his guitar and their intricately crafted songs in a unique and dynamic way. Brian Willoughby is well known for his virtuoso performances on electric and acoustic guitar, with progressive folk/rock band Strawbs. Cathryn Craig is from Virginia and has built a strong reputation as both performer and songwriter. Together they have a magical combination of folk, Americana and country. They are well known and in demand on the folk circuit and have rave reviews for both their live performances and albums. Their “Alice’s Song” was an Aled Jones “highlight of the year” on BBC Radio 2, Cathryn was Simon Mayo's star guest on BBC Radio 2Day, live from Nashville and The Telegraph’s Martin Chilton named the duo as his “Folk Gig Pick” in 2015. Organisers of Rothbury Roots described them as “an astonishingly good duo. Beautiful songs, wonderful singing” and praise for Brian’s guitar work is widespread.

Craig and Willoughby's latest album In America has been Album Of The Week on Blues & Roots Radio, FATEA'S Along The Tracks and in Ireland, on RTE andCharlie McGettigan's Arts Programme, on Shannonside Radio.

In 2016 Cathryn is re-locating from Nashville to the UK and the duo will be available for even more gigs.

"They catch a mood that could produce goosebumps on sheet metal”  The Glasgow Herald

“Cathryn's voice and the outstanding guitar styling of Brian, along with the carefully crafted songs, make for compulsive listening.” Country Music People
